How to Purchase (Free Trial)

Write Buddy is a single paid plugin (Pro plan) with no free plan. You can either purchase it directly or start the 7-day free trial — no payment information is required to start the trial. Freemius is used for payment and license management.

About the 7-Day Free Trial

• The trial period is 7 days.
• No credit card or payment method is required to start the trial — you only need your email address.
• Because no payment method is on file, nothing is ever charged automatically. When the trial ends, access to the premium features simply stops. If you’d like to keep using Write Buddy, see “How to Upgrade to the Paid Plan” below.

Steps to Purchase or Start the Trial

1. Go to the Write Buddy sales page (purchase page) and click the “Buy Now” or “Start Free Trial” button.
2. Select a monthly, annual, or one-time (Lifetime) plan.
3. The Freemius checkout screen will open. To start the trial, just enter your email address — no payment information is requested. (If you chose to buy directly instead of starting a trial, you’ll also enter your payment information here.)
4. Once your purchase or trial has started, you will receive a confirmation email. Keep the license key included in this email, as you will need it later in “How to Register Your License Key.”
5. If the plugin is already installed and activated on the site where you made the purchase, the license may be applied to that site automatically. If it is not applied automatically, or if you want to use it on a different site, enter the license key manually (see How to Register Your License Key).

How to Upgrade to the Paid Plan

Since starting the trial does not collect payment information, upgrading is a separate, explicit step — it will not happen on its own, whether during the trial or after it ends.

1. In the WordPress admin menu, open “Settings” → “Write Buddy”.
2. Go to the “Account” tab (added automatically by Freemius), or click the “Upgrade” tab shown alongside it.
3. Select the plan you would like (monthly, annual, or Lifetime) and click the upgrade/buy button.
4. The Freemius checkout screen will open; enter your payment information to complete the upgrade.
5. Once the upgrade is complete, your license is updated immediately and premium access continues without interruption.

If You Want to Cancel Your Trial or Plan

You can check, change, or cancel your trial or plan from the link in the confirmation email sent by Freemius, or from the Freemius account management tab shown on the “Settings” → “Write Buddy” page in the WordPress admin screen. See Registering Your License Key for more on canceling a trial.
